The only reason I used rogoff as a username is because I had the privilege to play him (Ken Rogoff) in a simul when he was 17 and the top rated junior in the U.S., in Syracuse,NY and he played board 1 against Russian juniors and I believe he was the only U.S. player that had a positive score. It seemed he had a promising future in chess but I recently found out he is a professor, I think of economics, at Harvard and has written books on the subject ! I guess economic's gain is chess's loss. Has anyone else heard of him or know him ? I tried to contact him once but obviously he doesn't have time to communicate with a.....patzer !
