Who do you think will win the Pacifist Award for the US Championship?

Zatonskih's Rd1+ is probably unsurpassable as the blunder of the tournament. Wow. In some ways it's what she deserved because she was playing on in a 0.00 position for the hour before that, as if she thought Yu wasn't going to hold an easy draw.

Caruana-Nakamura in this second round will be very interesting.
To me it already looks suspicious for Caruana on move 12. I like Naka's position better.
urk
Yeah, he's turned all red and he's suffering the agony of blundering. But I never sympathize with Kamsky.

Good to know that masters blunder too...

My sympathy is with Zatonskih. I don't care if an engine says 0.00. As long as there are any swindling chances, why not keep trying. Better than agreeing ot a draw every time the position is equal

The position was R and P vs. R and P. Not a whole lot of swindle chances there.

I'm gonna say right now that Nazi will repeat.

How tragic for Nazi.
I think that's the most painful loss I have ever seen.

For the record... when I posted that, the last I had seen of Nazi's game was when she had a winning position and an hour advantage on the clock. I assumed that she was going to finish the round with 2.5/3. Turns out things went differently.

at what point did she have a winning position?

Kamsky with White is playing an extremely sharp line that has never been played before but Nakamura is blitzing out his moves anyway, showing incredible preparation.

Maurice needs to chill out with all the engine lines, why not give us some lines of his own.

Why would he give worse/sub-optimal analysis on purpose? Besides, that's what Yasser/Jen are for

urk
It looks so horrible for Kamsky on move 20.
Ugh
Nakamura is going to slaughter him with the black pieces.
