@GYG how did u lose 400 points in Blitz?
I started at 2800 blitz after my first game, I was never actually 2800.

Isn't there a rule to always be white when you give a simul? Plus it might make it a bit more easy for you, I mean if you are always the same color. Perhaps it will save time as well because your mind will not shift between white and black pieces.
I tried with 3, 4, and 5 games.
One of my attempts I was randomly assigned all white... it actually felt harder because I was having trouble telling some of the game apart.
But if this became a regular activity I'd get better at it and then who knows? Maybe all white would be easier.
And yes, in real life the GM gets white in every game, but I need the games to start quickly, so I have to select a popular time control and randomize the color.
I've been trying 5 games now for a while... the annoying part is like you said, the number of people who randomly resign or leave before move 10, and then I just have to restart the whole thing. I think I'll get 5 eventually, but any more than that will take some luck.
What the hell.... how's that even possible?
I think the new thing is they start your new live rating at the same level as your other live rating... so if GYG was 2800 bullet their rapid and blitz would start at 2800 too.
There are some obvious benefits to this... but also some obvious drawbacks.

It was because I was rated 2800 bullet when I played my first blitz game, so that was the rating they assigned me. I didn't expect it to work like that, but I'm not complaining.

Yeah, it's definitely something you have to grind and get lucky.
The BDG would be an excellent opening for this since you can get it vs a lot of openings and it lets you attack.

The BDG is so overpowered though, that I ended up winning alot of games before move 15 which didn't count for the challenge ![]()
U guys got me excited....i am gonna try this within an hour I suppose
If we all are attempting at the same time it'd be hilarious of we got paired together in multiple games ![]()

lol
But I think the total number of moves is a good bragging metric.

On an old site it was possible to be paired with yourself.
One time I was playing while drunk, and didn't notice I was playing myself until move 7 or so.
In my defense I'd premove 3 moves then switch tabs... after a few rounds of that I realized.
Hmm.
If the screen were big enough then 2 things would slow that down: my eyes would have to move and the mouse would have to move.
If the screen were small enough that those don't matter then I'd be slowed down due to mouse accuracy issues.
A really big touch screen and moving with two hands might be theoretically best? But that'd take a lot of practice. I think a mouse and tab switching is hard to beat for efficiency.

Llama I think you have cool stories ![]()
When I played RTS games, starcraft specifically, camera hotkeys were really useful. It gave my eyes and mouse a rest and felt much more efficient.
Using multiple windows is an interesting idea. Maybe some people would prefer it. I think tabbing through windows is ideal for me.
