I think putting more medals into tournaments would help out greatly. It would make more people play into tournament's because if they do not play there best they still get something. Now cash is a different thing it would be kool and i would be one of the people in it non-stop but it would stop being kool when the same person win's ever time. And u know people are going to try to put a prog into the game and if chess.com do not see it then people are going to be losing money and that might make them leave the site. I think putting more medals into tournament would make chess.com that much better.

If the average rating at site about 1,550 , and the one or two Players, above 2,000 are involved into one tournament, what can they left on table for other Players?
Close to nothing!

I played at a half dozen of American Open Chess Tournaments!
As well as I played with City Tournaments, Clubs Tournaments, Gufeld's Club at the West Hollywood Tournaments...
No difference How Many Entrance! Unless it is a World Title, and so on... But it is a Special Chess Tournaments!

3 times I played at the Las Vegas, for American Open, where I share once a 2 Prize at the Category 'B'
A few times I played at the Los Angeles, for American Open!
Usually, it's a Short 6-7 rounds Tournaments, with Entries 100-200 Players at the Categories!
And I got a 2 Prize /$$$/ at the Las Vegas!
As well, as at the other Tournaments at the USA! And sometimes it was been a Cups or other Prizes, A Digital Chess Clock /about $100/, Books /from hands of Gufeld!/..

Good to see 3 Winners at one Tournament!
But Now we played 12 Players , double games = 22 games!
And we will get just Numero Uno, or just One Winner, after a few Months out of life!..

I wanna ask Erik!
When you can apply 3 Prizes Strategy at 8 Total Games Tournaments on Game?!
I wanna be sure, that in my next two dozen more Up Coming Tournaments, that I run as a TD, 3 or more Players will be Awarded, as a Winners!
Tournaments with 8 and more players must be 1, 2, 3 places Awarded!
Much more Players can be motivated and stimulated to involve into the www.chess.com activity!..
But we had a Double play Games Tournaments, Advanced 2 rounds...
So, it can be more clear to apply 3 Prizes or Medals for Tournaments and Players, with at least 8 Total Games!
And for 6 Total Games Tournaments it can be 2 Prizes, or 2 Medals!
The Medals are Better than Prizes! But it is not a Cash, yet!.. Isn't it!?
