If there's agreed collusion then yes, that would definitely ruin it, but most of the wins and losses are going to be largely influenced by double-attacks, double-checks, etc., regardless.
I've found the best strategy is to work on your own development, avoid trading early on (or you'll simply have fewer pieces to defend against those who didn't trade off), and be opportunistic. Wait for someone to make a check or some threat, then make a second, lesser threat, which they will be forced to ignore. If you have a good position and castle early, most people won't even bother to attack you to begin with.
I'm not sure where we report glitches, but the main one I want fixed is how repeatedly clicking the "resign" button will fill up the screen with "X has resigned", and if you don't have a fast computer, the game will freeze and you can no longer play. It's the online equivalent of throwing the pieces all over the floor when you start to lose.
Been playing the 4 player chess beta. https://www.chess.com/4-player-chess
I really hope they keep this game available. I'm sure it's totally imbalanced and two players teaming up can easily ruin it but still, this has real potential. You could even have 2 v 2 with this same format.
