Hi everyone!
My name is Lauren Goodkind and I'm a well established chess teacher and chess book author in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I recently crocheted a 501 (not a typo) foot black and white chess scarf that broke the initial Guinness Book of World Records for the longest crochet scarf by an individual.
I'll be displaying the giant scarf at MAKER FAIRE BAY AREA 2024! The event runs from October 18th to 20th in Vallejo, California. The massive scarf will be suspended from the ceiling.
I'd love for all of you to come and see the scarf in person, alongside all the other amazing exhibits at the Faire. It's a fantastic celebration of creativity and innovation, and there's something for everyone!
