And two degrees separation from playing chess with Fischer and four degrees away from Morphy (but not strictly).
This is kind of amazing considering what a patzer I am, but true.
If we are on this forum, we probably haven't beaten Magnus Carlsen.
But I wonder how close everyone is.
There are players who have beaten Magnus Carlsen (such as Nakamura) If you have beaten one of them, then you are two degrees of separation from beating Magnus Carlsen!
Although, maybe you need to settle with a player who has beaten a player who has beaten Magnus Carlsen...
Any tournament player willing to trace a path all the way to beating Magnus Carlsen?
Is Hikaru Nakamura really the best example of a player who has beaten Magnus Carlsen?
Also, the thread title reminds me... would anyone else really like to see a "50 Shades of Magnus Carlsen" movie?
Who?
Just to be clear, I want to see the players!
Three degrees is pretty small. You must have beaten a player at least 2000 or 2100, right?
EDIT: Nvm. You must've beaten a GM or IM who beat a super GM who beat Magnus.
Or maybe there are some losses magnus had before he was very strong that makes this a little easier than I hoped.
