The average game is about 40 moves (a little less than 40 I think).
A "miniature" is about 20 moves or less.
Games that reach a balanced endgame can take 60-80 moves.
Games that reach a technical endgame that takes many moves can be over 100.

So 73 is fine. It's longer than "normal" but it just means there was probably a balanced endgame.
I was playing here and I have 73 moves against my oponent.
We had a draw, king agaist king.
Is 73 a good number of moves in chess?
