Just keep playing, Wayne.
8 Draw offers? . . .

Repeatedly offering draws in OTB games is against the rules because it is thought to be deliberately disturbing the opponent. Don't really see the problem for games on chess com though, just ignore it.

I don't think it's actually against the rules, but it's certainly a breach of etiquette.
FIDE Handbook Laws of Chess:
12.6 It is forbidden to distract or annoy the opponent in any manner whatsoever. This includes unreasonable claims or unreasonable offers of a draw.
Unless the position had changed significantly more than two offers in a game is poor form and 8 breaks that rule imo. It's annoying to some people, this chap felt strongly enough to start a forum about it so it distracted him. I agree it's easirt to ignore here, close down the chat funtion and just refuse draw offers and take a minute or two to calm down :-)

I was offered a draw but did not have a button to accept it. My opponent was offline and I received an automated email with the draw offer. I went to the game and was not able to accept it.
Do both players have to be online for a draw to be accepted?
Keep at him. And make sure not too stalemate. People that do that are lacking honor.
A couple more moves happened. I have King + Pawn, He has King. My pawn will make it to the end for queening without being captured. It's essentially over as I do know how to mate with King+Queen.
He has offered a draw again . . . :)

In an OTB tournament, you could ask a controller to stop him from distracting you, and if your time was short he might give your opponent a penalty. However in correspondence chess such as here on chess.com the same rules do not apply as you have a long time to make your move and the draw offer therefore can only be seen as an annoyance, not a malicious distraction. As mentioned earlier in this topic, just play on - if you have King and Queen versus King he shouldn't have many more moves on which to offer a draw!

Hi when there's no chance to win then you draw. what is adjourning when you got a person in check? I don't get it!!
i don't understand why this had to be posted
I posted because I have only been playing online for a few months and wanted to make sure I was not missing something. Just confirmation.

This comment is funny coming from a person that refuses to resign when they have K+p vs K+ 2 rooks and 3 pawns and then even brags about "beating" the other player when they lost on time for some strange reason. Oh, and they were also gonna queen a pawn next move which would make them 2 rooks and a queen up. Who has no honor?

One rule states that you have a limited number of moves to play before offerning another draw, if this behavior annoys you.

repeated draw offers are aginst the rules of chess
report abuse and claim the game
is that true? Good that I know that

I won fair and square. People seem too find it extremely difficult to believe I actually beat a 2000+ rated player.
You won fair and square ......on a technicality, they allowed their time to run out. You did not "beat" a 2000+ rated player though when the win is like this. You were completely beat, toast, totally and hopelessly lost ! So to boast that you "beat" a 2000+ rated player in this game says a lot about you and its that you have no honor. Yet you call the guy offering draws in a lost position on having no honor, which is why I pointed out the humor in your post. In my opinion you are being very hypocritical.
Hi all,
I have a game that has gone on 57 moves. I offered him a draw about 25 moves ago, and he did not accept. We are not down to 5 pieces on the board. I have him beat. We trade pieces than it's a race between my pawn and his King to the end of the board so I can get a queen. I have counted the moves and there is no way he can catch the pawn after we trade the other two pieces. If he does not do the trade, he is also lost. I think he sees his problem and has offered me a draw 8 times. I don't want to draw now as I think have him beat.
I think he's offering the draws to see if I'll take it before he times out. I set my status to vacation since I will not be near a computer for 3 days. We'll see what he does when I get back on line.
