Should I play the Vienna as white? Also I was thinking of alekhine French or Nc6 as black against e4

I guess another short 95+ accuracy game to make up for the tilt in blitz :

I don't really know why on move 6 taking with the b pawn is worse than uncastling the king with dx but yeah.
I am sorry I don't have a lot of ideas to post except this :.(

The Vienna opening is this:

Oh ok thanks! May I ask what are the main ideas ? Because from my pint of view it controls d5 but it is already controled by the pawn sp I don't really get the point of this move

Just a question: Have any of you guys played the bongcloud against an opponent and won? I remember I did this with an old acc lol

My not playing Nf3 on move 2, white keeps the option of f4 available, which is often played in the Vienna, is very aggressive, developing your pieces to active squares. The Vienna Gambit, is the main line of the Vienna Game, goes like this:

I just played a game where I thought I was going to replicate Nikolas Theodorou vs. Teimour Radjabov, but my opponent just dies in a short time lol:

Here's my game:

And here is Theodorou famous, 100 percent accuracy, 4 brilliant move game!

100% accuracy on a game of that length plus four brilliants is insane

I know, but what if I told you that Theodorou studied that whole line? He spent two minutes of clock on that classical time control chess match. Opening prep is crazy nowadays

Oh I thought this was a game from before engines… I think chess was better before them.

Nah, that game was played about 2-3 years ago, but was that game even a showcase of skill or rather study? That's why when I play otb, I'm not going to study a gazillion lines spanning 20 moves deep in the Najdorf Sicilian

I have studied a bit into the old Benoni, just a few moves in, but several lines, and it payed off since most people don’t know it, and has won me amazing games

Avatar of AdkinsAttackInventor

Yeah, I wasn't saying I'm not studying period, I'm just not going to try and study my opponents opening so hard I'll know what he'll wear to our match the next day

Avatar of AdkinsAttackInventor

Just make sure I don't fall for any opening traps and play a solid game from there, where skill actually matters
