Besides the sicilian defense, what is a good defense for black against e4 from white? i want to expand my openings and right now i am pretty much stuck on that one defense against e4
Petroff is very good to pair with the Sicilian ... Sicilian when you need a win and are willing to take chances, Petroff for when you want to stay safe but are OK with a draw.
i like to set up my pieces first before attacking, generally getting my bishops lines up at the king once they have castled and then sending in my pieces to attack (i am still learning so i may not be using that term properly here)
