Computers have needs? They don't play chess. We run chess engine software on them. Leo needs an upgrade.

It's a war simulation game, to train its adept strategical thinking and foresight. Beyond the world of Chess, Chess knowledge has no real purpose, so its neither a science or art, but a game and for some a sport.

I think that is Karpov who said that chess is an art, a science, and a sport all mixed in together. I totally agree there - chess is a mix of everything.

Yes, maybe AlphaZero will one day be coopted by the Pentagon to run nuclear simulations against its self until it calculates how to "win" nuclear war. Could very well be the birth of "skynet".
