abandon timer.. WTF?

what is wrong with your website, how can my game get abandon?

I loose internet for 30 seconds, I come back online and the game is abandoned? I have over 3 minutes left, I am ahead. we are at move 29.

When I play other people and they loose internet I wait 3-4 minutes before the game ends.

How much time you have is based on the time control.

If you're on move 2-10, you can use a maximum of half the base time control on a move.

Since you're playing rapid, you were either disconnected for longer or were in a losing position when disconnected.

Thank you for a good answer (compared to many others in here).
I assume the base time is the time for the given game in this case 10 minutes. Now I was on move 29 (actually 30), so I assume I have until my clock runs out. I was in a winning position.
So, to me this sounds like there is something wrong.
