Abandoning game.

I am so sick of people abandoning the game when they are losing. So many times this has happened when there is still a lot of time on the clock.
Apart from reporting amd blocking these loosers, is there no way this can be stopped? is there any consequences for this kind of behaviour when it is reported?

I’ve gotten several messages from chess dot com saying that action was taken against a player for abandonment. Always report it. If it was just once, they won’t be punished. Multiple reports are needed, so don’t be afraid to report!
