Abandoning games
Abandoning games , I couldn’t care less. When you make an absolutely ridiculous mis click, your opponent happily captures your Queen like it was the result of his brilliant combination- this is truly enraging (spoiler - a self respecting chess player usually offers a draw in this situation). I usually block such people
Who cares if someone abandons a game, you've no idea what's going on in their life, why are you in a rush to win? go and make a cup of tea and enjoy the win and stop moaning in the process, you've won. The person who's abandoned the game could be suffering from severe depression, chess could be a form of escapism and that loss could have made it worse, of maybe there was a more simple explanation, like a knock at the door, a phone call, the pots and pans over flowing in the kitchen, whatever, just don't cry about it, it's not the worst thing on chess.com, that's cheating. Some people are just never happy, moan if they lose and even moan when they've won. Some of you would probably stilll complain if you won the lottery because the balls didn't appear in the order you wanted.
I've lost 1800 games, 14 of them were by 'abandonment but a lot of them were in completely winning positions with ample time left, some lost after 1 move. It happens, it's almost like you don't really care that they've 'abandoned' the game, you just really want to draw attention to the fact that you were so superior your opponent ran away, so come on here to say' look at me, I'm so good my opponent gave up', aren't I amazing. A subliminal message to yourself. Sad.
