abandonment rules?

Can someone explain the rules for how the site decides when a game is abandoned? There’s been games where I wait for 5-6 minutes to tick off when someone is in “reconnecting” status, but other times I tab out for 10-15 seconds to reply to a text with 12+ minutes on my clock, and come back to it saying I abandoned. Just want to know the boundaries so I don’t accidentally abandon more games.

If at the very start of the game you don’t play do/click anything anyone for like 1 min (in rapid, as for bullet 30sec), the game thinks you abandoned because you cannot wait for 1 min to make the very first move.

That is what I know

as of today the resignation time due to reconnection was INSTANT like I’ve lost the connection for ONE SECOND and it automatically resigned two times smh

Low effort reply MrChatty; in fact, nothing justifies the resignation after 1 second. Thank you though
