Aborted Game Marked Lost !!!!

Hi, I just aborted a game against an opponent as I did not want play for some reason.. To my shock Chess.com deducted my rating points and marked it as resigned. I clearly saw the option of Abort and selected it. So there is no reason why should this happen to me. Can someone advise what can I do to get chess.com to correct the error and restore my rating. Best

If you abort too often they take away that privilege and substitute a loss.  I do not know the numbers, but it's not permanent.  Let me see if I can find the article for you...

Yeah, sometimes Chess.com does that. Sometimes if you have bad internet connection it auto-aborts, which can be pretty frustrating in tournaments, so if you have overall bad internet connection, Chess.com might think that you are purposely leaving the game, so they might take your aborting option away.
