There is nothing wrong with resigning. What you get in trouble for is for aborting or disconnecting or quitting the games and closing the app without resigning. You lost three of your last four games after only one (1!) move. I can't believe that emergencies came up each time.
You are playing against real people who get upset if you just abort/disconnect or quit without resigning.
