I recently started playing in tournaments, both open and restricted, and have so far enjoyed them a lot! I repeatedly ran into a weird incident however, which is below-1200 tournaments being won by players with a rating around 700. Checking their games I noticed that they won most, if not all of their games, with an accuracy of 90+ against much higher rated opponents. To me, there seem to be only to options, the first one being engine use, the second one being that a much higher rated player created a new account only to win tournaments againts weaker players (like me). What is the correct response in these situations? It should be a violation of chess.com's fair-play-policy in both cases, so I consequently reported them. Was I right to do so? Is there maybe something else I can do? Thanks in advance for your answers!
It's not weird but you have join the Cheating Forum club to discuss it.
Cheating discussions are not allowed in the main forum.
Reporting it is all you can do.
