accepting friend request in app

I went to Tournaments-->Daily-->Bell icon and could do it there on Android app. Couldn't do on Bell icon in normal place.

Now that you mention it, yes the bell icon should show any pending friend requests on an app.

If that’s not working for Android, you should report it as a bug.

What are the consequences of accepting a friend request?

You can look at your friends list to quickly see if they’re online or in live.

For live chess, friends show up in the friends tab so you can easily view their games.

Being a friend makes it easier to challenge for daily games since it bypasses the daily settings.
