Account Closed For Multiple Locations?

Hi All,

Just seeing if any of you had this or know of this and or have some thoughts to this.

Short version of story:

One of my students parents ping me the other day saying their daughters chess.com account was closed. They sent me the email that was sent to them with the reason of which stated "multiple accounts". I had them check all their emails to ensure they did not have an account long ago of old or no use etc etc. They did check and no had, only this account.

I then did some research on how in world this can take place as I knew as well for most part she only had one account. Upon my research I find this (which I find a bit strange on how this can be) ... research showed the following:

* Multiple accounts using same IP, same devices etc. etc.

Thus how can this be if I teach remote and in school, more so even I am all over the map/place using my account in different locations upon teach or even travel, this student is using her account in her home as well at our school be it for practice before or after class and or even during at times summer / winter camps we have

So in short ... what is the true concept here so this does not happen again to any of my students as well myself ...

Now mind you "creating" accounts from the same ip that makes sense ... but "using" application from same or any ip that does not make sense, just as in business we have a million portals we use daily and as long as we have user name and password we can and should be able to login from anywhere in the world on any device and or ip as well.

Thoughts?

Thank you

P.S And yes I have already wrote her parents a paragraph to put in the support email of response to appeal.

But I just wanted some other thoughts here as if happened to others for same reason or similar and or additional thoughts as again ... I am all over the map with my account, home, school etc and could such happen to me and others? as well yes at a school we are all coming out of one ip address too correct (yes) as we are behind router so chess.com will see one ip.

Just not sure about this ... doesn't make sense

Thanks again and looking for thoughts ~
