Account closes under what conditions? What are the criteria that satisfies a closed account?

philidorposition

Cheating, spamming, sustained offensive/abusive behaviour, continuous extreme trolling, on rare occasions user request etc. For more information you can click the help&support link below.

What about not log in for 3,6 or even 12 months so for a long time ... Did my account get closed by chess.com ?

philidorposition

No, it won't get closed because of inactivity.

Thing is accounts which are closed for cheating are marked "closed for cheating."

So this is something staff will have to answer, but I wonder...could it have something to do with the chesspark merger?

Cheater_1 was an example of extreme trolling that got banned I guess. Don't remember any others myself, to be honest. Spammers on the other hand get banned on an almost daily basis. I guess there is frequent banishment of abusers too.

Yep. Just yesterday someone was on the call to promote fake Guccis and whatnot. Didn't last ten minutes.
