The whole accuracy rating things means squat. Its an ego feed, and does not contribute to improvement.
Accuracy rating

Oh cool, so just a troll then. I wasn't sure if he had a reason to be suspicious or if he was just being unpleasant. Cheers.

The computer rating usually depends on the quality of the opposition. The stronger the opposition the harder it is to make good moves, and more chances of a blunder. Good players create multiple threats, more threats, more chances of missing some of them.

I looked at the game. Your opponent was giving material away like it was free. No wonder you had such a higher accuracy rating than your opponent. When your opponent gives you material, and you simply take it, its going to show the move as accurate. Where you went wrong was being greedy instead of just winning the game.

Haha the spike was because that's when lockdown started in Scotland. I was on furlough and my girlfriend was working on her dissertation so I have loads of time on my hands.

In a blitz match one guy who is rated like 1800 said that I cheat but I attacked his rook and then he hanged it the game: https://www.chess.com/live/game/5337674120
Hi,
I recently played a game wherein my opponent accused me of using an engine. He cited the fact that my accuracy rating fluctuated a great deal from match to match as proof and couldn't be persuaded otherwise. It was quite an unpleasant interaction, I just wanted to check in with the community as to whether he had a valid reason to make these accusations or if he was jsut being a troll. I've really enjoyed the process of learning to play chess properly over the last few months and was saddened to have such an unpleasant interaction. Any feedback would be appreciated a lot.
