They are a beta feature. When I checked yesterday they weren't available if you're not in the beta.
Other members still get credit for them though, or at least some of them. So if you are in the beta you will see the achievements of members not in the beta.
edit: I was wrong, non-beta apparently only get the Welcome achievement.
Cool, thanks for the info. It seems like he achievements still have a ways to go.

So are these achievements new? i've certainly completed quite a few of these achievements and i am just now getting them. Am i just supposed to re-do somethings like get another friend (even though i have 14) to get the 10 friends achievement? (tbh i'm just doing this too get the achievements)
