There seems to be some confusion about FOA, and from the comments, it seems many have never even played there. Getting an online title there isn't as easy as many are saying. FIDE arena is on a much tougher rating curve than chesscom or lichess. Don't assume you can easily grab an online title if you are 1100 on either of those sites. I've been 2000+ on chesscom and 2150 on lichess, yet can't crack 1600 on FIDE arena. I'm 1811 USCF. I have beaten an FM in rated classical OTB play. Of course, an IM would dismiss these titles as fake, but they aren't fake, they are lesser. They are official FIDE online titles, obviously meant for non-elite. That said, I'm proud of my AFM title. I mean as it stands, only the very elite top 99.9% of players were getting OTB titles. Why shouldn't players in the 95 to 99% get some sort of acknowledgement? I mean strong club players from 1600 to 2000 were known as class C B or A already. This is just changing the letters around. My point though is don't let the 1100 fool you. 1100 on FOA is more like 1600 on chesscom. I see plenty of players come there, unable to get the 1100 CMA title. I was 2150 on lichess, my high on FOA is 1550, that is 600 points difference.
Why was THIS BUMPED? 😭✌️🥀
