Sure, I can do it! Just present the evidence and I'll make a reasonable decision. But don't make it about chess, make it about something I know a little bit about. What's the problem?

No, I wouldn't get the same thrill out of calling people "idiots", that she seems to get.

We old timers remember adjournments.... Wink

A committee would judge the final positions?  That seems awful :)  Even if higher rated players disagree with my idea, I'd still like the opportunity to see it fail OTB.

It was especially troubling if those on the committee were all lower rated than the two players involved.....  in almost 40 years of tourney chess though I only had 2 of my own games adjourned and we played them out..... both ended in draws.

I tend to drag my games out though.  I like endgames and I manage my time poorly (on the slow side).  It seems at least 1 round in each tourney I'm the last (or nearly last) board to finish.  With increments though, it usually just annoys the organizer, and I get 20 minutes to stuff a hamburger down my throat before doing it again (usually more time as I just let my clock run because I need at least 30-40 minutes of rest).  I wonder if in these kinds of cases I would have run into many adjournments.

That does it. I'm calling for an Entmoot.
