On move 20 you played Qd5 which isn't ok I think but you overlooked that your bishop is hanging because you can't take the rook after 21. Rf6: because your g-pawn is pinned.

If your plan was to play Qd5 you can prepare it with Kh8. If now Rf6: you can take with g-pawn because the pawn on g7 isn't pinned anymore.

The position should be equal because the extra on the kingside doesn't matter since it is doubled. Which means your opponent can't create a passed pawn in the endgame. Of course this is the middle game but advancing the pawns in front of his king is risky and also you have some counterplay against his weak queenside pawns. Also his rook on c6 is awkward and can be used to win some tempi for your counterplay. (If I'm wrong in my assesement please correct me, I'm not a GMhappy.png)

If you're opponent moves the Queen in front of the king and you're afraid of threats like that you can check every capture and check sequence. This way you will identify most of the threats and react accordingly. Basic knowledge of tactical/mating/attacking patterns will help to guide your calculation. Hope it helps. Take care and all the best!

Move 13; night could have taken the white's light Bishop and thereafter g pawn pin is not realized.
