Afghanistan banned from playing chess

Hi, I’ve just started a new daily game or actually I haven’t started, my opponent is from Afghanistan, have they been banned from playing chess? I checked his stats and he hasn’t played any games so is it just a dormant account, thanks in advance to any replies

A lot of new players don't understand what Daily actually is, accept seeks, and never play or let it time out.

The game isn't in a tournament, so you can just abort it without penalty.

It's true. Everyone in Afghanistan has been officially banned from playing chess because the Taliban hates fun.

On a side note, all Canadians have also been banned because they get keyboards sticky with maple syrup.
