Hello,

I have a chess tournament in a few weeks. I want to ask you guys about your opinion for which aggresive Openings or traps should I play.

AarushN10

Play the Scotch Gambit

Arush_135

That is a good option, what about black?

blueemu

Don't play for traps.

Play good moves instead.

I know but i want to surprise my opponent with an aggressive opening

Even if it's not a trap I want you to suggest a good opening

Why are you trying to change your opening shortly before a tournament?

Isn't that the WORST time to throw your opening preparation away and play something unfamiliar?

Shouldn't you be trying to play something you know well, instead?

magipi

You should play an opening that you know. If you bring a new opening to the tournament, it's a sure recipe for disaster.
