I took a thirty-year break from playing chess.

Came back as a 2350 player.

Time is an illusion.

Lunchtime doubly so.

Well, I am still struggling with it. But I will say that it is getting better.
The anger is still there but I catch myself out before it gets worse.
I am still a loser though...
That will take a lot longer to change.

I don't like to lose lots of consecutive games at all. That can make me appalled

Yeah, this really angers me too. Like a lot.
Hence why I am going to stop and I have to analyse my games...

I feel you bro.

Nah, I am done with this.
Keep losing and being inconsistent. Still a failure in life

Damn it

Next time you lose a game and feel rage coming, try to name it:

“I’m feeling ashamed” or “I feel like I’ve failed”

Naming emotions helps distance yourself from the impulse to act on them.

I am aware of that but it happens often. Alternating days at times. I really need a career man...

Now, I feel sad whenever I play this game.

What were you before your break?

Just tell your self it’s just a game, you can always play again! And the more you lose the better you get! Is that good encouragement or did that not make sense??!! I hope it did!! 🙄😬😂

Read the poem “Invictus” by W. Henley…you are the master of your fate you are the captain of your soul.
