I am not sure what you are talking about. Ruy Lopez is 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5. Common responses are 3...a6, 3...Nf6; in all cases the position is equal. White's plan in a Ruy Lopez after 4.Bxc6 is to trade every major piece in order to reach an endgame with a queen-side majority, the downside is that Bxc6 gives away the bishop pair, giving black HUGE compensation.
If you don't like Ruy as black, just change opening completely by playing something like 1.e4 c5 (Sicilian), 1.e4 c6 (Caro-Kann), 1.e4 e6 (French), 1.e4 g6 (Modern) which are the most common non-e5 responses to 1.e4.
I have a friend whom I played many games with (OTB) and Whoever played as White would win everytime. White would always play the Ruy Lopez or a variation which resembles it.
1.e4...e5, 2. Nf3.... And which ever knight black took out Whites intention was to skewer it (Best to the king) then trade.
What is blacks best play against an e4,Kf3,BSkewers?
In otherwords Ruy Lopez (Perfect scenario) or an attempt to play it anyway regardless of what black does.
