against  e5, i only like the ruy lopez and the two knights. however, everything thats not Bb5 seems to transpose to the guioco piano and piannisimo. Looking for agressive lines against the guioco pianissimo as black. I grew super tired of the sicilin, and i want the possibility to play the ruy lopez. any thoughts?

Being a player of the Giuoco myself, I don't think there is. At least I haven't seen any, except maybe Bg4 for black, which if white hasn't played h3 might deal some problems, but besides that, like tony said above me, it's very quiet.

unknown ur talking about Bg4 and then Nd4 right?

the  is there some ways to avoid the guioco? after e4 e5 nf3 nc6 Bc4 Nf6 d3

Play the two knights defence against the italian game. If they play 4.Ng5 then you have the traxler counterattack.

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 Bc5 5.Nxf7 Bxf2+ 6.Kxf2 Nxe4+ 7.Kg1 Qh4.

The Traxler is very very aggressive and theoretically sound, though very difficult.

gareth i used to play the traxler...not very good results im afraid to say. I was all set to play e4 e5 Nf3 nc6 bc4 nd4!????? the trapping line, but thats bad as white just plays stuff like c3 or Nxd4

and gareth i always play the two knights im fine when white plays Ng5 i play Na5 later not the traxler. im talking about the guioco piano, if white plays d3 instead of Ng5, which d3 happens 8 times out of ten.

f5 is often the only pawn break available here, so if the Black manages to get in that move they should be able to play aggressively. Also, you should look to park one of the Knights on f4 whenever possible.

I don't think there is really a good line to avoid Giuoco Pianissimo if the White is bent on playing it, but at least the Black equalizes without much trouble.

The Two Knights 3...Nf6 4.d3 Bc5 does seem like the most aggressive response, and if white comes in with 5.Bg5 you can chase it back with ...h6 and ...g5.

You can try the Evan's Gambit. :)

people! im black! i dont CARE what white does, i want to have a nice line as black. i like atos's idea, but im a d4 playa folks. Thanks tho

heres a recent exciting win in the piano, except that i was more of a guioco "forte" as white played a little agressivley, and it backfired on him. this was a friendly game, so this was play chess.
