This is very strange, I am trying to work out if it was serious or a joke, or both. I think a lot of it is unfair though.

DEFINITELY too much pressure on us to become premium members. do they think money grows on trees???
Some of it I can agree with, but some of it is off base. It's almost like two different people combined ideas; a "good" person and a "bad" person. Certianly the "bad" person is right.
For God's sake and for your sanity if you still have it. Most of the complaints were opposites. If you don't like the site don't use it. You can lie about your age like I am 354 years old but turning 355 in a month. a lot of perverts try to get little kids' infomation by pretending to be their friend and that they are 10. I can post a picture of George Washington the first president of the United States saying I'm him doesn't mean i am. you can take any old picture for your avatar. It's a God dang A.I. programmed for each and every move to beat you. I has millions of games programmed to win/lose/draw. I will admit computers can be easy or hard. i change the difficulty of my phantom chess set from the lowest to the lowest in Tournament mode and I win with the lowest but it kick's my butt badly after. yes i will also admit that most or all of the stuff in the fun section is not fun at all and vote chess is controlled a little but who cares it doesn't go on your record or at least the few i played didn't. the greeter games yes people don't play them most of the time but they're unrated win, lose, draw who cares big woop the achives says you lost but your rating don't change. People probaly don't talk a lot because of identify theft, hacking, etc.
That ends my rant for now.
To the "guilty" ones: please work hard to change;
To the "affected" ones: please work hard to have patience on those who need to realize their mistakes (it takes time or a blog like this to wake them up) and change for the better;
To those who think this blog has some inaccuracies: continue rolling the punches. :)
To the "unaffected" ones: laugh harder. :))

There's good and bad in everything...so you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Everybody everywhere. So who is actually forcing the jaded members in here to keep coming back anyway?...Go to yahoo and play if your that disgruntled. You sound like a whining little kid...WAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!! You actually think you can force me or people to talk or not talk bacause you want them too? Get a grip and grow up people. i don't know Eric well enough to be sure, but I'll bet he reads these stupid complaints and wonders..."What do you want me to do". I would. if you booted out everyone for talking and not talking...it would be an empty site, huh.

What about getting a sense of humour?
If you spend some time in the forums, you will notice that this thread is pretty much a "colection" of all the things people complain about chess.com

THE FORUMS:
1 - Too many threads about resigning
2 - Too many threads about getting disconnected
3 - Too many threads about \ by Cheater_1
4 - Not enough threads about \ by Cheater_1
5 - Too many threads B***** about the other threads
THE GAMES:
1 - Too many disconnects in live chess
2 - Too many opponents who don't chat
3 - Too many opponents who don't shut up
4 - Greeter games last an average of 0.02 moves
5 - Some greeter games actually go to the very end ( I lost one of them, and I didn't like it)
6 - The computer beats me up
7 - The computer is too weak
8 - The logical conclusion is that I suck
9 - Vote chess games are controled by the stronger players
10 - Weaker players screw up vote chess games
11 - The logical conclusion is that I screw up vote chess games
12 - Tournaments are too slow
THE TOOLS:
1 - Tactics trainer has errors
2 - Tactics trainer's time controls are too unforgiving
3 - Comments on the daily puzzle consist of: "Easy" "First"
4 - I've never been first
5 - Some daily puzzles are too hard
6 - Some of the daily puzzles are too easy
THE "FUN" SECTION
1 - Too many of the fun articles aren't... well... fun
2 - Too many of the chess quotes are: CHESS ROCKS
3 - If you find surveys fun... well... you must love telemarketers
And now, worst of them all...
THE MEMBERS
1 - Too many 10 year old kids
2 - I lose against 10 year old kids
3 - Groups were a good idea untill they become more numerous than the actual members kiwi grandmasters
4 - Too many canadians
5 - Not nearly enough canadians
6 - Too many people telling us to become paying members
7 - Too many non-paying members complaining... UPS!!!!!
