Interesting because the advertisement is encouraging me to sign up for Platinum which I have already done. I think you might be right though...
i'm not sure the specifics either but i ended up going for diamond, if i remember, because i wanted, among other things, to finish those videos that were available to everyone (though they were shorter)
I was just looking through the membership features and it looks like no videos until the Diamond level. Looks like I will have to put some more money on the table if I want to see the videos as well. 
i think the diamond is worth it; there are some good vids and other features (drills, lessons/mentor, etc...)
it is helpful for me to have one "chess site" that acts as my central hub (to play, analyze, learn, practice, etc...)

I paid for platinum membership but all the videos on my phone are only 2 minutes. At the last few seconds, I get an ad telling me to sign up for platinum. My account settings on the app say I have a platinum membership. Why aren't the videos unlocked after paying?
