Always have a chess set on the iPad

Sometimes, chess happens.

I was at my uncle's and a challenge was laid down but we didn't have a set. I had an App on my iPad called (ironically) Chess. We found it a poor, but workable substitute for having a chess set. He's promised to buy one today for next time.

In the meantime, I could forsee another situation where I have my iPad with me but no chess set. An iPadOS app could save the day.

Looking for suggestions.

I think it would be more comfortable to play either on tablets or cell phones like this.

You don't need a single "2D" board.

It would have been helpful to have known about this “hidden” feature. I think it would be better however if the Black pieces were inverted so they’re right-side up to the player on the other end of the tablet.
