Never heard of a high-res gamer mouse, but I definitely am not happy with mine for blitz. Could you provide a link for an example? Thanks.

I use a razor mouse (because I'm a reformed gamer, I can't really believe you need one for blitz... but if you don't like the one you have give these a whirl)-- the one in the link ... it's a high quality product -- five stars.

60 bucks for a mouse. Ouch! I like current my mouse now.
Some Russian GMs have been playing blitz for 40-60 hours straight...
My head would explode if I tried that. -.-
I have played blitz ( 5-0 and 3-0 ) chess with a friend of mine for more than 12 hours straight before.... on several opportunities. Once we did this at a 24 hour burger joint ( Hardee's I believe ). We used to refer to that particular burger joint as our " chess club " .

Actually, I just remembered something....
A few years ago I took part in a Guiness Record attempt, where some stroing South African players were attempting a record for the most continuous Blitz games. (I wasn't a 'strong player', I was a victim :( There were some stipulations about minimum opponent strength, required win percentage, and I think they were allowed a 10 minute break every two hours. It went for a few days, I'm not sure if the record was ever ratified.
I remember it was won by Jaco Nelson, and I lost about 30 games straight against IM Amon Simontowe....
