before trying to do random move faster, you should first find how to execute the best move, after that you can train to how to execute the best move faster. by playing longer time control

Avatar of CroHi

It doesn't feel like random moves. Every move has a reason

Don't refuse to learn in a structured way and then complain that you're not improving. What do you do to improve currently?

Avatar of Lord_Hammer

play longer time controls. >=10 min

Can anyone tell me why I suck at poker? I mean, I play every hand, I call or bet everything. And it's not like I waste my time thinking about what anyone else has. I just don't get it.

Twice a year i go to Reno for a chess tournament.  A friend that likes to play poker will sometimes go with me.  He finally talked me into playing in a poker tournament with him.  I would do well, and advance to the next table, and then i get bored.  Start betting on hands i shouldn't, going all in when I shouldn't, etc.  He asks me why i do that???   tell him i get bored.  He says:  "You can stare at a chess board for hours, but you get bored playing cards?"  I said Yep....

You're a beginner, and all you're playing is blitz.  How do you expect to improve when all you're playing is fast time controls?  Amazes me how often this question is asked?

You're right

Maybe look at playing daily games where the moves are only required 1 a day or 1 every 3 days.  You'll have the chance to really study the board.

I've been losing game after game lately. My rating is pretty low as it is... I've been trying to eliminate blunders but I swear they've gotten worse since I've been paying more attention to my moves. ... I'm pretty frustrated right now. And I particularly resent the fact that most players in my rating range are very aggressive and seem to know every dirty trick in the book.
