I think there is actual rascism and then there is this, this member has not insulted anyone; and if anyone should be offended, it should be an 'asian'. Its just a name and actually its this kind of political correctness that is just stupid. It, quite frankly is not insulting and for all you know it might be an 'asian' member. Just drop it because this is a mild case of political correctness gone badly wrong

Well you obviously dont go out alot.. If you dont know why its offensive.. WHY ARE YOU HERE?
and Asians dont say the word themselves as they find it offensive.. but African(-Amercian) tend to say the N word themselves.. you see the difference? i would say the asian word is more offensive because Asians dont say it.
Don't get out a lot? I've visited every continent except Asia and the arctic. I speak 2 1/2 languages. I have friends all over the world, including asians.
I'm trying to understand why you find that members name offensive and your response is to take a poke at me.

C'mon 'geek. As you know, I'm not a stranger to sarcasm. In your post there is not a shred, a thread, even a wrinkle of sarcasm. Couldn't you come up with something better? Say, "Hey Reb: I was in the military when I made my various worldly sojourns, so Uncle Sam footed the bill."
That would have been much more believable.

Please tell me, a good reason why the name is insulting. Nowhere in the name does it suggest that people from Asia are inferior in any way. In fact, how do you know the name has anything to do with Asia? And don't you think that it is more insulting of you to assume that it is racist? Why is everyone so worried about racism all of a sudden and everyone is worried that they aren't being politically correct all the time? I think that political correctness has run too far.
