I am interested in software that will allow you to highlight squares and put arrows on diagonals, ranks and files, to demonstrate attacking ideas, vulnerabilities, etc. I appreciate your time for sharing. Thanks in advance.

You can do this in the analysis board and on the live server.  Right-click on a square to highlight it or turn off the highlight, right-click-drag to draw an arrow on the board or to remove an arrow.

Thanks a ton MG, you just saved me a bunch of money. I thought there had to be a way to do it. I thought maybe only staff software could do it.

When you see Danny Rensch and other streamers doing that on ChessTV, they're using tools that are available to anyone.

You can do it in your daily games too.  However, the results are not saved.

I've heard of people annoying their team mates in 4-player chess by using this to write "Hi" on the board...

I did not know that it existed.  I can now have my own posts of when bad ideas go really bad.
