Anand's lever technique

I noticed that Anand ,when playing white in d4 openings uses a lever technique where he stabilisers the centre ,then pushed the c - pawn to c5,the a nd b pawns are then also thrusted forward.
I was hoping that someone could post games with annotations explaining the technique and aims aswell as black's best responses to this manoevre.
