Exactly. Yeah you don't get it pujara, he won't even be in the next championship. So don't ask what he should do.

Would be nice to see anand win candidates and come back to win his title but that's just wishful thinking

Actually that would suck. What would be nice would be if we actually had the best 2 players in the world competing, for once. :P

Anand is now #8th, just admit it.

Anand just can't do any better than this. Carlsen is just a better, faster and more accurate calculator.

In game 9 Carlsen already saw that Bf1 was leading to a draw at best for Anand and that Nf1 was winning for black. It takes Anand more than 45 minutes to calculate this variation and then he still blunders by going Rf4 and even a bigger blunder Nf1. He should have gone after the past pawn instead.

Game 3 and 4 he had a superior position and he couldn't exploit it. Game 5,6 he blunders in rook end games. He has just been outclassed

im not upset at all that anand lost, it was expected since his slow decline in play after the kramnik match. but wouldnt it be nice to see him come back next year, even if he loses again, plays some fighting chess instead of "lets draw everything and put all my money on rapid"?

Not really. XD
