I would have wanted to se the face of your dad after that move 
If he didnt take the knight then his position was superior.
Once my dad put me in an interesting check in which my knight was bound to die cause i coudnt get out ot check without losing it. so i found a way to do it - and then it was really funny cause he FELL for it!
