Have you tried a force close of the app and try it again?

yes I have.
i restarted my phone, to reboot the app.
but the problem persists.
and now I am getting messages saying I am delaying moves, and taking too much time to move, and that I have failed to follow the site policies.
Also, there were three games I tried to move, on my first move, and was unable to move the pieces, and then i was penalized several points for losing the game
You might also try an uninstall, then install the app again.
