Well, the variants are relatively new additions to the site, with the exception of Live 960 and there haven't been major updates in a while.
A new developer has been assigned to the Android app (based on information from the G+ Android app beta group) so there is likely to be updates coming out in the future. If additional variants are added, my guess it will be 3+ and King of the Hill and not CrazyHouse or Bughouse but I could be wrong.

We are definitely working on some new features and improvements. We should have some fixes coming soon. It's helpful if you give us specifics! We carefully watch all feedback on forums and reviews!

I can't quote somebody in the forums using the app. And I can't change the foreign language setting in the Chess.com browser. Where's English? WTH? Maybe I'm just stupid.

The app has its own language setting. Settings > General > Language
I believe it defaults to your device language.
The Android beta app can quote, so if your version can't then it should be coming soon. Though, I don't know how well it works in practice.

The only feature I find errors in consistently is Daily Tournaments, but its horrible on chess.com too.

There is no quote button on iPhone. There is nothing to click on. And I still can't get an English browser.
