Could be an overheating issue.
Locate the Houdini exec and double-click it. A console window will open. Type go infinite, hit Enterand leave the analysis running for a while. Can it go past 2-3 minutes without freezing?

What version of Windows? I have seen some discussion that Chessbase may have issues with Windows 10.
I have a problem with chessbase programs (cb12 houdini 3 & fritz13) that is driving me crazy
When u r pointing to the 2d board usually the pointer is an arrow except when u r pointing a piece that can be moved, if so the arrow becomes a hand and u can move
In my computer after 2/3 mins using the infinite analysis feature the Arrow suddenly becomes a hand forever and i cannot move
Also the board becomes non sensical with some doubled pieces and pawns
I have to restart the program every time and given that this happens every 3 mins chessbase programs are almost useless for me.
I have tried to uninstall and install the programs several times without luck
It would be great if u could help me with the ideas you might have
