Do you have two devices that can access chess.com... a home computer and an iPhone, for instance?
I believe you have to "Log Out", not simply close the app, in order to avoid this warning.

The thing is, I do use the app, but does closing the app not log you out. Thanks a lot for your advice though. I’ll try that out.

It doesn’t always log you out. It depends what browser you use and how it is set up to function. There can be function that keeps many sites suspended in background, including your login info, so that when you go to sites you visit often it’ll open it faster. That is my guess.
