Chess.com has a wonderful chess engine, (computer) to play against, even at the 1600 level, it plays excellent end games and the openings is what I like to talk about. When playing against this chess engine, it allows you to play take back moves, so this can be very helpful to explore opening variations and moves you should avoid. Example I very seldom played against,  me white 1.e4...d5, so I did some experimenting and got into trouble fast. Seems like 2.exd5 is a better answer then some of the moves I tried. Any ways you can learn alot from chess.com computer with out even playing a whole game! HTH

Reminds me of shooting pool, All you have to do is hold the pool-Q stick and practice your swing  for five minutes with out hitting a ball, it will improve you game alot!!

What I dislike about it, is it very often hands you += in the opening and mixes very good tactics with sudden blunders.

I do like some of bizarre positions though, because it makes you think.  Once had Q+R vs the computer's queen but it had 4 pawns for the rook and my king had little cover.
