The most insane gambit I know of is the Nakhmanson Gambit.
But the only serious gambit I actually play myself in real tournament games is the Muzio gambit (King's Gambit but sacrifice the knight on f3 for rapid development and control of the centre).
btw @pfren, I play more blitz and bullet than you do, so I know what moves can throw your opponents off track. Playing d4 sets a trap of Black taking on e4. I've won countless games, maybe 100, where black, not knowing what to do, carelessly takes on e4.
If you don't want to listen (and this applies for any illiterate kid, not just your majesty) then I can assure you that I won't cry.

White's only viable move is 5.Nc3!
How does black get a clear advantage after 5. d4? Its my understanding white is just a pawn up after 5...Nxe4 6. Qh5+ since it doesnt seem possible to defend the knight. Or is it some other move(besides 5..Nxe4) that would give black the advantage?
The point behind 5.Nc3! is not protecting the e4 pawn, but rather preventing ...d5 by Black.
5.d4 c5! 6.dxc5 d5! 7.e5 Ng4 is complex, but it has been thoroughly analysed as clear advantage for Black- actually in chess practice white doesn't even score 15% from here.
5.Nc3! prevents Black from deconstructing white's pride (which is his massive center). It gives Black some extra options, but IMO white has adequatre, or almost adequate compensation in all the major lines. It is no coincidence that WC Topalov picked 5.Nc3 at his encounter against WC Kramnik (the game ended in a draw after a very interesting fight).
After 7. e5 it is clear black has an advantage but does white have to play 7. e5? What about 7. Pxd5 where if black takes the pawn with the queen and queens are exchanged an endgame is reached where white has 3 pawns for the knight...seems like it should be about equal.

It's not a famous thing, something I made up:
I like to sac. a minor piece on the g and h pawns. (by first, provoking the h pawn to move: h2-h3), there's a limit to a human's defensive ability, they will crack at some point I assume.
