I'm not much of a sports person, playing or watching, but I find baseball or softball infinitely more interesting than soccer or american football. I find even volleyball and tennis more enjoyable. Swimming I can actually do, but don't like to watch.

It's definitely not as bad as something like luge: every run looks exactly the same to the extent there's nothing to do but watch the clock, where a one-second difference is humungous. What's the point?

The metrics have been changed. cc just hasn't gotten around to implementing it yet, but don't be surprised if you wake up tomorrow with a 600 rating.

I don't follow stats, or even teams... but just watch games sometimes, usually high school or local teams. I really don't like watching professional sports at all and can't quite grasp how people affiliate themselves and form a bond with a particular team who's very players' own loyalies go to the highest bidder. The same is true with college teams. But to each his own.
