Hello there,

is there any good player around here (talking about 1700+ blitz/standard) that is willing to give me a hand in my trying to get better? happy.png

Thank you!

I looked briefly at your games file.  You are playing 3 minutes with a 2 second increment and 1 minute bullet.  That is WAY TOO FAST to be achieving any improvement in your chess games.

IMHO, the fastest time control you should play is 15/10 or 10 minute chess; we need time to process the position on the board and to come up with tactics and good plans.

Here is some good advice:

Quit blitz and bullet.

Get used to playing slower games (adjust slowly if you must, for example:

5 0 to 7/0 to 7/7 to 10/5 to 10/10 to 15/10 to 30/0 to 30/5).

Try hard - analyze these. Find your mistakes, try not to repeat them.
